Fascinated with all the different ways there is to home educate, Cheryl started a podcast, The Homeschool How To, where she interviews homeschooling families across the continent, learning all the ways people are using to homeschool their children. She recently wrote a children’s book, “Let’s Talk, Emergencies” to help parents guide their children on how to navigate emergency situations, as technology changes in this fast paced world. “Let’s Talk, Emergencies” is expected to release this summer. Hannah and Stephanie’s Bio:

Hannah and Stephanie are lifelong friends who have been homeschooling their respective children since birth. Hannah has five rambunctious youths from 9 to 18, and Stephanie has 3 perfect angels from 13 to 18. Both love integrating travel with homeschooling and want to inspire you to do the same! Combining homeschooling with travel enriches education with real-world experiences. Families learn together through exploration as they gain an appreciation of history, cultures, landscapes, and so much more, all while building family bonds. It fosters independence, adaptability, and a love of learning beyond textbooks or a screen. Hannah and Stephanie team up each summer to offer student history tours through their company, Blast to the Past, where students and parents come together to walk in the footsteps of history and bind it to their souls.

🕐 1:00 PM MDT -How to Choose Curriculum with Confidence: Presented by Tina Hollenbeck

Tina’s Bio:

Tina Hollenbeck is a veteran homeschooler who – along with her husband – educated her daughters at home from birth through their high school graduations. She created The Homeschool Resource Roadmap, a free curriculum database for homeschoolers, in 2013, and has been curating it ever since. The Roadmap aims to list and describe every curriculum and resource provider available to homeschooling families so that parents can see at a glance everything to which they have access and then use their own personal parameters to narrow the options and confidently make appropriate choices for their children. Tina has also written a book, 8 Great Smarts for Homeschoolers; operates a homeschool-parent resource center, The Homeschool Loft, in her community; and co-hosts a biweekly podcast, the Loftcast 2.0. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, which now includes a son-in-law and a precious grandchild.

🕐 2:00 PM MDT -Connection vs Correction: Removing Conflict in our Homes Presented by: Kent & Amy Bowler

Kent and Amy’s Bio:

It feels like you’ve tried everything – and yet nothing works. Despite doing your best and giving your all, the massive generational gaps our society is fighting against cause your teens to feel like you don’t get them. Or love them. In fact your instinctual responses only serve to push your increasingly independent children further away.

We’ve been coaching parents for over a decade now – with 1000’s of families spanning 53 countries. Our joy is found in showing the people called by God to nurture the children in your home (you!) how to bring your home into harmony so that you can have influence in your teens’ lives (again)! When you make simple, small adjustments, your children feel your love again and the results are miraculous.

Kent and Amy have 7 children, 8 grandchildren, have been parenting together for 30+ years, have homeschooled throughout, and are still in the thick of it with teen #6 and a 10 year old at home. They love spending time with their family – laughing and playing games around the kitchen table, singing at the piano, hiking and biking.
